Lingap Staff Members Retreat: Together to Get There

Lingap Pangkabataan staff recently came together for a retreat on August 4-5, 2022, to enhance their teamwork, develop their skills, and promote effective communication. The retreat was a welcome respite to pause from their busy days, months, and years of working and were guided by the members of the Human Resource Committee of the Board of Trustees.  Rev. Jerry facilitated the sessions and where Lingap and the HR Committee members eventually formulated a dictum that will guide the staff in achieving their vision of helping people.

The dictum declares unity among the Lingap management and staff members. The retreat brought everyone together and allowed them to work collaboratively with synergy, affirming and leveraging their diverse talents and skills, embracing their unique differences and limitations, and fostering effective communication. This team approach will enable them to work towards a common goal and achieve better results.

Additionally, the staff recognized the importance of growing together as a team. They vowed to ensure that no one is left behind, and everyone’s potential, values, self-esteem, and confidence are developed. This will create a competent and cohesive team that can handle any challenge.

The Lingap staff also committed to solving problems together. They recognized that tackling challenges head-on requires constructive dialogue, agreeing to argue and arguing to agree, and sharing accountability as they work towards their goals. By doing so, they can achieve their objectives and overcome obstacles.

Finally, the staff pledged to serve together, above all else, with a clear sense of purpose and unwavering dedication to valuing and helping people. Their ultimate goal is to serve God by serving His people.

The staff left the retreat with a deeper sense of unity and purpose, and a new dictum to guide their actions represented by a visual symbol – a collage of ordinary things put together to remind everyone of their commitments beginning from the two-day retreat. By working together, growing together, solving problems together, and serving together, the Lingap staff is well-equipped to help people and achieve their vision.
