Lingap Pangkabataan, taking inspiration from the biblical character Nehemiah, is committed to becoming a learning organization, constantly seeking to improve its operations and better serve its beneficiaries.
To achieve this goal, Lingap has enlisted the guidance of Dr. Wilfredo Awitan, an expert in social work and community development from the University of the Philippines. Dr. Awitan has been instrumental in helping Lingap staff members revisit the organization’s purposes and processes. Through his guidance, Lingap has implemented principles of Project Cycle Management, to help us better plan, implement and evaluate our programs.
As a result of this collaboration, Lingap has seen improvements in its capabilities in delivering services to its partners, thanks to the streamlined processes and improved project planning. Lingap staff members have also been more encouraged to take on new roles and responsibilities, allowing them to contribute more to the organization’s mission.
But Lingap’s journey towards becoming a learning organization is far from over. The organization recognizes the need to continually adapt and improve to meet the evolving needs of Lingap and its partners. As such, Lingap is committed to ongoing learning and development, seeking out new opportunities to enhance its capabilities and improve the lives of the children and youth it serves.
Lingap Pangkabataan’s commitment to becoming a learning organization is a testament to its dedication to improving the lives of children and youth in the Philippines. By enlisting the guidance of experts like Dr. Awitan and implementing best practices such as using Project Cycle Management, Lingap has demonstrated its serious thrust towards improving its capabilities. This will help ensure that the Lingap continues to make a meaningful impact in the lives of its partners for years to come.
