Lingap initiated the establishment of CCM in the Philippines together with Tearfund Netherlands to actively engage churches toward protecting human rights and promoting the welfare of vulnerable groups. Learning sessions, visits to East Asia partners, reflections, and dialogues among practitioners from other countries helped to promote CCM concepts and principles.
The program has thrived among local churches and faith-based organizations, and Lingap’s goal is by the year 2027 we will mobilize a thousand local Christian churches in the Philippines through CCM. The initiative has created a dialogue and a community of practice among practitioners and influencers. The Annual Learning Conferences serve as a concrete venue for learning and promoting CCM among faith-based and social development organizations/networks.
This program is sustained among local church partners in Metro Manila [Caloocan City, Manila and Quezon City], in Eastern Samar [Balangiga, Lawaan and Quinapondan] and is starting in Sinisipsip in Benguet, among local churches of The Wesleyan NCD and in Mindanao.
